INCREASING ENGAGEMENT ON LINKEDIN
Now that the NEW BRAND has officially launched (LEGAL GROWTH) we can press forward with a weekly #MarketingOnMonday tip.
This week it’s about growing your audience on #LinkedIn. I get really frustrated when I see businesses duped by social media marketing ‘professionals’ who manage social media and post content out to an audience of zero.
One of the purposes of social media is continuity of communication and brand to your audience. It helps to educate your audience and often includes calls to action. When you’re posting to an audience of zero, there is very little benefit (except to show that the business is active).
SO… What can you do to grow your audience on LinkedIn and to drive a more traffic and potentially more leads?
Firstly, on LinkedIn you should be looking to build you personal brand through decent content marketing and also build your business page and audience there too.
To build the audience on the page click on the ‘invite connections’ button and you should have a number of credits (100) to invite people to follow the page. If you engage with audience regularly then more of them should accept your invitation to follow the page. Then, any content posted on the business page should be visible to them.
The image above shows that I have two credits available (I can invite two people to follow my page). You will get another credit if one of the invitations is accepted.
Another way to increase engagement and following is to like and share the posts from your business page adding opinion, comments and guidance.
