WHICH SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS SHOULD I BE USING?

There is no simple answer to this question but instead a number of variables but we will try to simplify it to give clarity and direction.

The first point for consideration is who is it you’re trying to target?

If you’re targeting businesses or business owners then something like LinkedIn might be a good option.

If you are looking to attract a consumer then B2C platforms like Facebook might be appropriate.

The next consideration/question is, are you looking to pay your way forward? If yes, what is your budget? Some social media platforms are being more expensive to promote yourself on so this might have an impact on your choice.

If you’re looking to create a community then platforms like Facebook or LinkedIn are good choices.

If you’re looking to target a specific age range then the following information might come in handy:

Facebook

Twitter

LinkedIn

Instagram

Google My Business

TikTok

Remember that if you have platforms in place that you should be looking for a steady and consistent approach to posting content. ‘Forgetting’ to post or inconsistent posting could leave visitors with the impression that your business isn’t active.

Additionally, posting to an audience of zero is just as pointless. You need to post consistently but also whilst growing your audience.

If you see the need to have a presence on social media but don’t have the time or would describe yourself as a tech dinosaur and would like some assistance, get in touch for more information about how we can support with post content creation and scheduling.
