Proud judge for the British Wills and Probate Awards 2022

Our Founder - Tom Stansfield is a proud judge at the British Wills and Probate Awards for 2022.

Having had clients enter the awards and have success in previous years it came as a great honour to be invited to judge categories. Today (midnight) is the night by which all of the judges will have completed their judging and the shortlist will have been decided.

Reflecting upon the efforts of judging, Tom commented this:

“I know just how important the awards can be to a firm's marketing potential. As such, I was pleased to have been invited to judge the awards this year and have now seen first-hand the incredibly high calibre of the entrant's submissions. It has been a painstaking process to assess each submission and it's clear to see the lengths that some firms went to when writing their entries. Good luck to those who get shortlisted. I'm excited to see who it will be and I look forward to celebrating with you all on the awards night!”

To those who have not thought of awards or don’t see the benefit of them, we would encourage you to look at the merits of entering. Not only does success provide a signal of trust for prospects and clients, but it also provides additional opportunities, traffic and potential for leads and thus, Legal Growth. When deciding which awards to enter, particularly if there is a cost it’s important to look at the organisation and people behind it to ensure it’s a worthy marketing spend. Firstly, Todays Wills and Probate (part of Today’s Media Group) has been established for some time and is well regarded. Secondly, the Director behind Solve Legal and the Today’s Media Group is well regarded.

Finally, the strength of an awards can be assessed by the panel of judges who preside over it. This is not a reflection on Tom per se, instead you only need to look at some of the names of the judges who accepted the responsibility.

The judging panel for this years awards was filled with industry-leading figures including;

Lakshmi Turner, Chief Executive of Solicitors For The Elderly

Trevor Worth MBA TEP, MD & Founder of Portcullis Legals

Rita Leat, Chief Executive of Institute of Paralegals; and

Ian Bond, Director and Head of Wills & Estates of Thursfields Solicitors, just to name a few.

Whilst it’s too late to apply for this year, there will be an opportunity at next year’s event, as well as an opportunity to sponsor categories to further raise your business profile.
